Even in today's world where internationalization is imperative and democratization of information via the Internet is progressing, going overseas is still far away. Visum removes the “overseas” barrier so that everyone can broaden their horizons in marketing activities and easily add the ASEAN market to their business development options. Visum's Value



The founder who was based in Singapore has significant marketing experience with more than 15 years in the ASEAN marketing field. He has also worked with many national clients to provide marketing solutions in various ways.
 


We have a strong local partner network that has been cultivated through business achievements in ASEAN countries. Going beyond mere business alliances, we have established close relationships with partners whom we have already collaborated with. Based on the ability to collect information with local media and footwork on the ground, it is possible to cut back on unnecessary expenses and make cost-effective proposals. Currently being closest to Japan in the ASEAN region, we have established our hub in Manila, which is an intermediate point.
 


We understand the business ways of both Japan and ASEAN, and that enables us to propose the best solution to meet the clients’ needs. In terms of relationships with local partners, we aim to strengthen these relationships by actively exchanging opinions and conducting close communication with local partners, unlike businesses that operate with local partners simply by giving instructions from Japan.

Founder's Profile

Founder, Genki Itani

The founder was born in Asahi-ku, Yokohama and raised in Chofu-shi, Tokyo. After graduating from Humboldt State University with a Theatre Arts major, he worked as an event coordinator at a nonprofit organization that promotes Japanese culture, after working as a sales manager for a Japanese magazine in Los Angeles. He is ​experienced with concerts and management of various events by inviting famous artists such as Gospellers, Masafumi Akikawa, and Masashi Sada. After spending 10 years in the US, he changed jobs to an advertising agency in Singapore. As a sales manager, he was in charge of Japanese national clients and the local companies for eight and half years. He then moved his base to Manila and established Visum in March 2019.
